Construction Update – October 2019

As we head into the last quarter of 2019, we have many exciting updates to share.

Over the last few months we’ve reached a few significant construction milestones including the erection of the tower crane in July, which currently stands at approximately 27 stories tall. As work progresses in 2020, we will increase the height of the crane two more times to a final height of over 500 feet.

Construction Update: Setting the Foundation for Your Future Home

This month, significant activity is taking place at the Azure Ala Moana construction site. The construction team led by general contractor Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. is working on excavating and pouring the two mat foundations underneath the tower – the massive, steel-reinforced concrete slabs that provide the primary support for the building. Both mats are approximately eight feet thick with the makai mat measuring at 2,300 square feet in area, and the mauka mat at an amazing 3,140 square feet.
