Construction Update: Setting the Foundation for Your Future Home

This month, significant activity is taking place at the Azure Ala Moana construction site. The construction team led by general contractor Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. is working on excavating and pouring the two mat foundations underneath the tower – the massive, steel-reinforced concrete slabs that provide the primary support for the building. Both mats are approximately eight feet thick with the makai mat measuring at 2,300 square feet in area, and the mauka mat at an amazing 3,140 square feet.

Reaching New Heights: The Tower Crane Milestone

When constructing a high-rise tower, one of the most significant milestones is the erection of the tower crane. While there is a huge amount of work to prepare the site’s foundation for construction, the onset of the crane marks the exciting start of the tower going vertical.

Condominium project breaks ground in Ala Moana

HONOLULU (KHON2) – There was a ground breaking held on Monday for the Azure Ala Moana. It is located at 641 Keeaumoku Street. The condo has 330-units, and 21,268 square feet of commercial space. There are also 78 rental apartments available to qualified renters earning up to 80 percent of the area median income. Developer breaks ground on mixed-use condo in ‘Midtown Ala Moana’

ProsPac Holdings Group broke ground Monday on its Azure Ala Moana mixed-use project across from the Honolulu Walmart store in what the developer has dubbed Midtown Ala Moana with a traditional Hawaiian blessing, a performance of taiko drums and a Chinese lion dance.
